Coaching initiatives are an integral part of the developmental
services that Sorensen Consulting provides. We deliver individual, team, departmental,
and organizational coaching initiatives focusing on areas that matter to
performance. The scheduling and duration of coaching initiatives is determined
by the need and availability of clients.
Through our years of experience, we know that most coaching efforts
will fail if participants don’t have the energy or the desire to enhance their skills
and performance. If participants want to enhance their performance, but their
energy levels are low, coaching efforts will dissolve quickly and past behavior
and performance will return. Therefore, before coaching efforts begin, an assessment is
completed to determine the participant’s energy levels. Then coaching efforts
are designed to meet employees where they are and building energy levels to
continue new or improved performance is a part of the coaching focus.
Dr. Sorensen has over 35 years of experience coaching and developing
staff at all levels in both public and private organizations. Lisa’s work is
focused on making a difference for each and every client by identifying
professional areas of strength and opportunity (weaknesses), assisting in the creation
of an effective and practical Enhancement Plans and helping clients implement
their Plans in a manner that meets and/or exceeds organizational expectations.
